Knitting pattern for ladies' mittens in stranded colorwork, inspired by Nordic colorwork traditions.
The mitten size is easily adjusted from petite to medium plus size hands by changing yarn and needle size (see Size and Gauge).
Size: The pattern has a one-size women’s mitten chart, one chart for each hand, but can be adjusted with gauge to fit hand circumferences from 17 to 22 cm.
Gauge: Gauges 26, 24, 22, or 20 stitches per 10 cm for hand circumferences 17 cm, 19 cm, 20 cm, and 22 cm respectively.

You may use other yarns that let you meet gauge for the size you would like.
Non-superwash wools are generally well-suited for mittens, as the natural felting makes the mittens more wind resistant.
